Champion

Week 2 Day 5 of the G25K program at work and my knee is singing songs to me and I can't repeat the lyrics. Lol!!! Well as I walk/slow jog I thought about our champion. Right when I wanted to slack up or break altogether. I thought about our champion. Our champion are individuals who have went thru the program and are now encouraging others to do the same. They help walk you thru it with the different walk/runs and levels. As I rounded the curve I thought "I want to be a champion". I want to inspire others do get up and walk/run. So I set a goal with a deadline about becoming a champion. So as I continued around the bend someone drove pass and yelled "I should be out there with you and you are such an inspiration.” Then it hit me!!! We are all champion when we take a stand in our health!! We are all champion when we being journeys of self-love and have a determination that shakes the dull balance of your life. Being a champion does not mean I have to run a 5K, 10K, or even a marathon. Being a champion means to act as champion of; defend; support. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I get up at 6am and make it to my local fitness center by 7:10am where I start my walk/jog knowing I’m a champion and I will complete this session. While I’m walking around our track I tell myself “I can make it”, “I got this”, and “Lego” these are things I say to myself to support me while I’m walking. See a champion can even support their selves during times of struggle. So I will continue to work towards my goal to be that champion for other and me. Remember we are all champions and can all inspire others to be the best that they can be. Happy Releasing to all my champions!!! #champions
